Description
Crafted at the legendary SIG Sauer Mastershop in Eckernförde, this P226 X-Five “Zeus” stands as a singular expression of mechanical precision fused with mythological artistry. Built as a true one-of-one presentation pistol, it elevates the already elite X-Five platform into the realm of bespoke European firearms art.
At its core lies the hand-fitted, competition-bred X-Five architecture, renowned for its extended sight radius, match barrel, and exceptional balance. Chambered in 9×21, this configuration reflects the Mastershop’s international pedigree while maintaining the performance standards expected from SIG’s highest tier of production.
What defines this piece, however, is its extraordinary decorative program.
The slide and frame are enveloped in deep relief scroll engraving, executed with Mastershop precision and framed by classical Greek key borders, a fitting tribute to the Olympian theme. Gold inlays accentuate the design throughout, highlighting controls, pins, and ornamental flourishes with striking contrast against the satin steel finish.
Prominently featured along the dust cover is the symbolic lightning motif, an unmistakable nod to Zeus, ruler of the heavens, rendered in gold and centered around a clenched fist emblem.
The controls, including the hammer, trigger, and extended levers, are finished in lustrous gold, providing both visual drama and tactile distinction.
Completing the presentation are richly figured walnut grips, fitted with medallions that echo the pistol’s classical inspiration. The natural warmth of the wood provides an elegant counterpoint to the steel and gold composition, reinforcing the firearm’s gallery-grade presence.
This Mastershop creation is accompanied by its presentation case and display accoutrements, underscoring its status as a collector’s centerpiece rather than a mere sporting arm.
