Description
A Mastershop Limited Edition in 9mm
This is where the SIG Sauer Mastershop showed what happens when precision engineering meets artistic flair. The P226 X-Six Anchorman is one of the most distinctive limited-edition models ever released from Eckernförde—an ultra-rare series of only 50 pistols worldwide, each hand-finished, individually numbered, and built to the uncompromising standards that defined the German Mastershop era.
The example featured here is particularly extraordinary: the very first in the numbered series, Number 1 of 50, making it the premiere piece in the entire production run.
Crafted on the legendary X-Six platform and chambered in 9mm, the pistol features a sculpted, two-tone slide with aggressive porting, precision-cut serrations, and the signature Anchorman emblem engraved with crisp contrast. The frame and slide share matching numbers, further underscoring its place as a unified, factory-built collectible rather than a later assembly.
The custom wood grips carry the Anchorman insignia inlaid into their textured surface, striking a balance between tactical form and artistic detail. Polished accents—the trigger, hammer, controls, and magwell—add a level of refinement only the Mastershop could achieve.
Included with the pistol is its beautifully crafted Anchorman collector’s presentation case, designed specifically for this series and fitted to the pistol and magazine. The interior bears the Anchorman emblem and the edition number, further affirming its identity as Number 1 of 50. The set also includes the original Mastershop certificate and factory test target, completing the ensemble exactly as it left Germany.
This limited-run masterpiece represents the pinnacle of SIG Sauer’s pre-closure Mastershop era—where hand-built quality, bold design choices, and meticulous craftsmanship converged to create firearms that weren’t just tools, but pieces of art.
