Description
The SIG Sauer P220 X-Six “Black and White” is one of those pistols that immediately signals it was never meant to be common. Built on the long-slide X-Series platform and chambered in .45 ACP, this example represents a rare and short-lived expression of SIG Sauer’s German mastershop era, where precision machining, balance, and finish were treated as ends in themselves.
The defining feature is the striking two-tone treatment: a satin stainless slide contrasted against a deep, matte black frame. The transition is crisp and deliberate, emphasizing the length of the slide and the geometry of the X-Six profile. Subtle machining lines, polished flats, and clean edges reflect the level of hand-finishing expected from SIG Sauer Germany during this period.
Fitted with factory walnut grips bearing the SIG Sauer mark, the pistol balances visual warmth against its otherwise technical, competition-bred appearance. The long dust cover, extended slide, and precision controls give the X-Six its unmistakable stance, purposeful, composed, and unapologetically serious.
Only a handful of these Black and White P220 X-Six pistols were produced, making examples like this especially difficult to encounter today. All components present are factory-matched, preserving the integrity and originality collectors look for in rare German SIG pistols.
This is not simply a variant finish; it is a rare configuration from a time when SIG Sauer’s German production pushed form and function to their highest levels. A true centerpiece for any advanced SIG or X-Series collection.
