Description
This Colt Combat Python, Serial T74591, manufactured in 1988, is one of only 510 units produced for Lew Horton Distributors, with an additional 300 made for international sales. It features a 3” ventilated rib barrel with a red insert ramp front sight blade and the “COMBAT PYTHON” marking on the left side.
Though originally equipped with service stocks, this piece now sports factory Colt Python target grips with gold Colt medallions. The revolver is fully blued except for the sides of the hammer. It includes an Accro rear sight with a white outline blade and a serrated trigger.
Unattached Accessories: The revolver comes with its original maroon-colored box, styrofoam inserts, paperwork, and a 2023 factory letter confirming it as one of 43 firearms shipped to Lew Horton’s of Southboro, MA, on March 10, 1988.
Condition: This Combat Python is in near-excellent condition, with a factory-quality restored blue finish on the frame and an original barrel finish. The interior of the frame appears unfired. The cylinder has a very faint turn line, two small spots of finish loss near the rear of the flutes, and a few extremely faint spots of thinning at the outer edges of the flutes at the front. The bore and grips are also near-excellent.
