Description
The Korriphila HSP 701 is more than a pistol. It’s the vision of one man, Edgar Budischowsky, brought to life with an obsession for perfection. Before creating this masterpiece, Budischowsky had already made waves with his TP70 pocket pistols, but the HSP 701 was his magnum opus — a full-sized, precision-engineered sidearm built with no compromises.
The patent was granted in 1979, and by 1984, production began in Heidelberg, Germany. Each HSP 701 was hand-built to order, one at a time, by Budischowsky himself and a small team of artisans. These pistols were never intended for mass production or government contracts. They were made for the few who understood what true craftsmanship looked and felt like.
Fewer than 30 were built each year, each made to the customer’s exact specifications. And this particular piece stands apart even from that rare group. It’s the only known HSP 701 with a full dust cover, making it a one-of-one creation in a lineage already defined by exclusivity.
The combination of a stainless steel frame and slide, black accents, and dark wood grips gives it a refined, purposeful beauty. It’s industrial elegance, perfectly balanced. The original Korriphila briefcase-style case in genuine leather with a green velvet interior completes the presentation, underscoring its status as a true collector’s treasure.
The Korriphila HSP 701 is more than a firearm. It’s a symbol of what happens when precision engineering meets artistic ambition. Budischowsky didn’t set out to build the most famous pistol in the world — he set out to build the best. And in pieces like this, he might have succeeded.
