This exquisite Colt New Frontier Sheriff’s Model Revolver is accompanied by a factory letter which verifies its unique features, including the custom serial number “JUSTICE No1” and the masterful work of Colt Master Engraver Howard Dove. It boasts a royal blue finish, complemented by fire blue accents, and a 3 3/8 inch barrel chambered in .38 Special. The detailing includes a flush gold inlay, ‘B’ type American scroll engraving, and a distinguished double ebony presentation case. It was delivered to Universal Firearms Ltd. in Franklin Park, Illinois on September 26th, 1987.
Engraved by the esteemed Howard Dove, this revolver is a testament to his skill, with gold inlaid scrollwork, an engraved pattern between the barrel bands, and a flush gold leaf on the front sight. The frame features raised gold scrollwork with flush inlaid borders, a gold inlaid judge’s gavel on the loading gate, and a Lady Justice motif on the recoil shield. The revolver’s 13 stars and scroll engraving enhance its historic appeal.
Howard Dove’s signature, renowned in Colt and Winchester circles for his one-of-a-kind creations, adorns this firearm. The revolver is adorned with the “FREEDOM No1” serial number and .357 Magnum chambering. The 3 3/8 inch barrel is finished in royal blue with intricate fire blue details. Master Engraver Howard Dove’s signature style is evident in the type ‘B’ American scroll engraving and the flush gold leaf inlays.
The firearm features a liberty bell in gold on the loading gate and an Eagle and Shield motif inscribed with “LIBERTY OR DEATH” on the recoil shield, bordered by 13 stars.
