Description
Let’s not sugarcoat it—this isn’t your average Korth. This is a custom-engraved Korth Combat Luxury in .357 Magnum, built during the golden era of the Ratzeburg factory. And once you lay eyes on it, you know you’re dealing with something exceptional.
It starts with the deep, lustrous bluing—mirror-smooth and inky black—flawlessly contrasted by gold inlay on the barrel, cylinder flutes, and frame. It’s ornate, sure, but not flashy in a try-hard way. This revolver wears its embellishments like a tuxedo: formal, dignified, and just a little bit bold. The oak leaf scroll engraving wraps around the frame and trigger guard like ivy on a castle wall—tight, clean, and done by a master’s hand.
Then there’s the stag-and-hunter motif on the right sideplate—a nod to German heritage and the old-world artistry Korth revolvers are known for. That level of detail isn’t stamped; it’s cut, finished, and filled with pride.
The grips? Checkered walnut with a gold MG medallion, possibly denoting the initials of the original owner or patron. They’re sculpted to perfection, blending elegance and utility. And it all comes housed in its original Korth presentation case, adorned with the emblem of the Schützenkompanie Sangerhausen 1571 e.V., hinting at this revolver’s commemorative or ceremonial purpose. The matching key and cylinder block are still with it, because of course they are.
Mechanically, this is a Korth through and through: a tight lockup, a buttery trigger pull, and surgical timing. It was never meant to be just a wall piece, though good luck finding the courage to take this beauty to the range.
